Barbara is a dynamic partner and team player, with a passion for helping organizations create healthy and productive work environments. As a TGC affiliate, Barbara has over 20 years of Learning & Development and Human Resources experience, focusing on full-cycle training design and delivery for employees and managers, leadership development, employee engagement, and performance management processes, including feedback and coaching skills.
Bringing strategic thinking, analytical capabilities and insight generation to her work, Barbara is an advocate for executing talent strategies that address identified business needs in support of organizational goals. Her experience with change management initiatives helps TGC clients build strong organizational cultural alignment. Barbara partners with clients to create team building solutions, resulting in more collaborative and inclusive environments.
Barbara has held roles in non-profit organizations including International Foundation for Electoral Systems and US Green Building Council, and for-profit organizations spanning defense contractor BAE Systems, to corporate retailers Williams-Sonoma Inc, Gap Inc, and Warner Brothers Studio Stores. She has a master’s degree in Social Science and Educational Practice from Stanford University and earned her BA at the University of Maryland.
Barbara loves spending time with her family, especially her daughter, and with friends; enjoys travel and is an avid bicyclist, participating often in Bike to the Beach DC, an autism awareness and fundraiser ride from Washington, DC to Dewey Beach, DE.
